The acquisition introduced significant organizational complexity. Multiple enterprise platforms, operating models, and business processes required integration into a unified enterprise environment. Executive leadership required disciplined governance, structured planning, cross-functional coordination, and a comprehensive integration roadmap to minimize operational disruption while accelerating business value realization.
A global healthcare and clinical research organization was executing a complex multinational acquisition and integration program spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The initiative required harmonizing enterprise systems, business processes, financial operations, and technology platforms while maintaining business continuity across multiple countries and organizational cultures.
As a senior enterprise transformation leader, I supported due diligence, enterprise planning, portfolio coordination, and technology integration activities across the acquisition program. My responsibility was to connect business objectives with execution planning while coordinating stakeholders, technology teams, and enterprise leadership throughout the integration lifecycle.
Partnered with executive stakeholders to evaluate integration strategies across SAP, Hyperion, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and supporting enterprise platforms. Coordinated planning across more than fifty project resources, established governance structures, managed cross-functional dependencies, and developed integrated execution roadmaps. Facilitated executive planning sessions that aligned technology decisions with business priorities while supporting risk management, portfolio transparency, and organizational readiness.

Contributed to the successful planning and execution of an enterprise integration spanning eight acquired organizations throughout the EMEA region. Strengthened executive visibility into portfolio dependencies, improved coordination across business and technology teams, reduced execution uncertainty, and supported a disciplined governance approach that accelerated post-merger integration and long-term enterprise alignment.
Large-scale mergers succeed when organizations recognize that integration is fundamentally an enterprise execution challenge rather than simply a technology implementation. Strategy, governance, portfolio management, enterprise architecture, organizational change, and value realization must operate as one coordinated executive capability. This experience reinforced my conviction that enterprise execution is the executive discipline that connects these traditionally independent functions.
